Folx is a powerful download manager and torrent client in one. Just search for a file or input a URL, and Folx will download whatever file might be on the other end, be it music, video, or a book.
Folx can also be up to 20 times faster than regular downloaders, since it breaks down the file in up to 20 parts and downloads them separately at the same time.
For our purposes of checking your specific torrent file, however, you can just upload it to Folx manually:. Due to myriads of reasons, from inactive peers seeds to corrupted or outdated files, your specific torrent might not work as planned. Luckily, there are hundreds of popular torrent websites worldwide. Some are tailored to specific interests e. Depending on the country you live in, your local regulations, and your ISP internet service providers , some websites and connections e.
If you see your torrent not connecting to peers, this might be the case. A proven workaround here is to use a VPN virtual private network. You can bypass any geo-restrictions by routing your traffic through any of the dozens of servers available worldwide, from the US to Austria, and change your mind just as easily. As you can see, torrents not downloading can be a problem, but with a methodical approach, you can get those files on your Mac in no time.

I have redone my settings in Qbittorrent due to a recommendation that was posted on my thread in the Qbittorrent Fourms.
These are the new settings that were posted, And as such I have changed my previous settings to these settings. Going forward, I recommend a vast reduction on your qBittorrent settings. The az-calc guide you used was badly flawed when it was made and is over 6 years old.
Upload slots: Global maximum: 60 should be lowered further if you lower upload speed much Per torrent: Not "checked" it's not nearly as important as the global max upload slots. Half-open connection value: 10 if you're not firewalled in qBT, even 10 may be overkill.
With 60 total upload slots, that puts an upper limit on how many active torrents you can have at once -- 60, with 1 upload slot for each.
Alright, So I still have this problem. Now I'm not sure what to do. It works sometimes but sometimes it does not work with downloading, even though I have seeds. Qbittorrent isn't even letting me move torrents around, I usually put torrents in a "downloading" folder then I put the finished torrents in a folder marked "Unsorted by Filebot" using the torrent program, But when I use the option "Set Location" in Qbittorrent nothing happens.
That and my torrents never check it seems, It takes forever to check if the check bar even moves at all. I don't know whats going on. Now I cant cant even get qbittorrent to close using the end process command with task manager. I have used qBittorent for some time successfully, but recently have experienced the same problem. I appear to be set up correctly but suddenly am getting 0 upload and 0 download speeds. Although my computer registers clean when I do a thorough scan, I've noticed problems with other software programs not functioning correctly.
Could I possibly have some type of virus that my Windows Defender is not picking up on? I've already removed malware with Malwarebytes. Cleared it out and started downloading again straight away. I still had a lot of space left on my hard drive. However, due to all the problems with my inability to download torrents and similar problems with everything else, I finally bit the bullet and reloaded Windows 10 from scratch, losing practically everything in the process, including important files that I thought were personal.
But I'm happy to report I'm recuperating and qBittorent is functioning again. I didn't realize that when you redo Windows 10, you lose all your online settings as well. This can check if this issue is related to a network problem. If all of these fail to solve your problem, then the problem might be your torrent file — dead torrent no Seeds. Because uTorrent downloading is based on Peers to Peers connection downloading files from other computers , the seeds decrease and the Torrent file becomes dead and impossible to download.
You can search for an alternative torrent file with more seeds in one of these Torrent Websites:. Did the fixes above solve your uTorrent not downloading? Hopefully, uTorrent is working like a charm now. Feel free to leave a comment if you have further questions or suggestions. Via is a technical writer for Driver Easy and an avid reader in daily life. OK so I have never really looked through the tabs down there, are they just there for show or is there something I can do to speed things up? That usually the only other way to get more tracker to increase your chances to get the download. Not really your bandwidth permits your download speed but if the seeders bandwidth are slower then yours that will be the utimate decider of how fast your downloads are or if they choose the upload speed then your will be restricted by the seeder in how they choose to upload the torrent.
That is why the more trackers you get the more chances others seeding the same file will give you more chances to get the file sooner. Adding more trackers on a DHT-enabled torrent only increases load on trackers.
It doesn't magically give you more peers. Start new topic. Recommended Posts. Serieslover Posted March 23,
